Hello, Katelyn, in reference to your style page of some weeks ago, where you wrote about crop tops and stylish ways to rock them. My question is what is the appropriate age to wear crop tops? Can older women also look fabulous in a crop top? Annonymous
This question became a trending topic last year, when actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde was spotted on the red carpet wearing a crop top. A lady criticized her on Instagram. According to her, crop top was not appropriate for a woman of Omotola’s age, especially on mothers. While some praised Omotola for taking a fashion risk, others took the lady’s side by condemning her for not dressing for her age. Xquisite Style’s take on this question is that if you have the body for it and feel confident in it, go for it. Crop top is all about body type and fitting, not so much about age.

Pocket squares do not have to match with your tie. In fact, they probably shouldn’t. If anything, your pocket square can match the colour of your shirt, but even then it’s not necessary. Feel free to branch out with your pocket square.
