Another PDP chieftain dies in Delta

Another chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief Lawrence Agbatutu, has been reported dead.

The deceased, until his death, was the PDP chairman at Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.

Ovie Success Ossai, one of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s aides, made the announcement on his Facebook page on Monday morning.“

“We just lost Ughelli North PDP Chairman, Hon. Lawrence Agbatutu. May his soul RIP,” he quipped.

Only a few days back, a 2023 governorship aspirant and former Commissioner for Economic Planning under the government of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, Chief Kenneth Okpara,

Besides, two members of the Delta State House of Assembly from both Isoko North and South also died early this year.

Okowa’s aide, Mary Iyasere has also died a few weeks ago in Delta.

Meanwhile, an official report on the demise is still being expected from the deceased family as of the time of filing the report.
