Bishop of Ibadan Diocese, Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Joseph Akinfenwa, has ordained 12 people as priests with a charge to proclaim the word and spread the gospel of Christ to all the nooks and crannies of the world.

The bishop urged them to fashion their life styles in accordance with the principles of Christ, love, service, care for young and old, weak, rich, poor as well as preach and declare God’s forgiveness to penitent sinners and pronounced God’s blessing.
Those ordained at the event which took place at All Soul’s Church, Bodija, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, include: Adeleye Adebobola Ayanfeoluwa; Olaniyi Albert Ayodele, Osadebe Chianu Ogechukwu, Nadjibeye Maba Eric, Ogundimu Olufemi Oluwaseun, Olayiwola Gbolagade.
“They are expected to die in the course of missionary activities. It not been enough to cover the field, no matter the numbers of priests ordained. God promised to provide for us. It is a mistake if they are coming because of money. It is not possible in Anglican Communion.
While saying that the event was an international ordination, he said that some of the priests will be posted to rural communities to serve and urged them to lead by example.
“I am disappointed on the affairs of the nation. We must pray fervently for God to give us viable security during the 2019 general election. God should give us credible leaders.
Politicians are talking about the same issue all the time,” he said.
Earlier; in his sermon, venerable (Dr) I. O. Odukogbe, had said that the challenges in the 21st century church are enormous, adding that the challenges of Science and Technology had the existence of God as young adult are not prepared to be responsible.
“There are impediments and distractions in human life. We run after worldly affairs but failed to seek for the kingdom of God. Anything that will stop you from concentrating, use prayer to block it,” he said.
He, however, urged them to imbibe the unique qualities of Christ, familiar with word of God, courageous, faithful as well as prepare for heavenly affairs instead of worldly affairs.
