THE Ondo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has restated its commitment towards the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and all the party candidates in the forthcoming general election, saying there was no accord with Action Alliance (AA) or any other parties.
The former Chairman of the party in the state, Hon Isaac Kekemeke, who stated this in Igbaraoke, in Ifedore Local Government Area of the state, during the campaign flag off of the candidate representing Idanre/ Ifedore federal constituency, Hon Bamidele Baderinwa, refuted the allegation that the state governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, will support AA against APC candidates in the state.
Kekemeke who stated this reiterated that there was no time the state governor called for support for any other party and described the allegation and statement as antics of the opposition party to further cause crisis within the ruling APC in the state.

He said the APC in the state has been able to manage and resolved all the crisis arising from the outcome of its primaries and assured that the party would go into the next month general election as one big family.
He said ” Mr. governor is not promoting or romancing with AA but he remains a committed member and leader of APC in the state and will not work against the party. I want to tell you here that Akeredolu will not give such directive.
“The party executive and the SEC have no reason to work for any other party. All leaders of the party are on the same page and we will vote for all APC candidates in the coming election”.
Kekemeke urged the people of Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency to vote for Baderinwa for the area to witness more dividends of democracy.
Baderinwa who is seeking the second term in office promised to continue to provide dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency if re-elected as House of Representatives member in the Ninth Assembly.
Baderinwa said he has empowered his constituency with the provision of solar-powered street lights, sponsored more than 200 youths to Industrial Training Fund training, provided free health, procured vehicles for security agencies and constructed classroom blocks for in his constituency.
Meanwhile, other top politicians in the National Assembly race in the state have commenced campaign across the state ahead of February 16 National Assembly elections, with the former governor of the state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, flagging off his senatorial campaign at the Akure City Hall on Monday.
This was contained in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, John Paul Akinduro, who said the event is another opportunity for the public to know more about Mimiko’s pro-poor and pro-people programmes that will further protect the interest of the common man.
Akinduro said all the National Assembly candidates for the zone would also interact with the people of the state and reel out their programmes if elected.
Similarly, a gubernatorial aspirant of the APC in the last governorship election in the state, Foluso Adefemi, flagged off his campaigns in Ikare-Akoko in Akoko Northeast Local Government has vowed to prioritise the transformation of the health sector if elected.
Adefemi who condemned the neglect and the poor state of the Ondo North Senatorial Zone’s health sector by incessant occupiers of the National Assembly seats described the state of health services in the zone as a very precarious issue
He said that both World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Sustainable Development Growth [SDG] frowned at any health services that are inaccessible to the people or that lacks quality.
His words ”As a senator, it will be my priority to do everything humanly and legally possible to give everybody affordable, accessible and qualitative health services without discrimination”.
“Our Government Hospitals, Community Health Centers will no longer be death zones nor mere consulting centres but a place where life will be restored by qualified experts and personnel’s who will operate with most modern sophisticated equipment”,
Adefemi promised to represent the good people of Ondo North Senatorial Zone and buy a well- equipped- modern ambulance for all the six local government council that made up the district.
