According to a statement signed by the spokesperson of the group, Dr Lara Ajagbe, a copy of which was made available to the Nigerian Tribune on Sunday noted that the governorship primary election which held at Jogor Centre, Ibadan, on Saturday was marred by series of irregularities.

“We were told that only registered members would be allowed to vote, but it came as a surprise to us when members who have paid the party’s registration fee and have been duly registered could not find their names on the list made available at the election venue.”
“After this discovery, we asked how come the names of those who are not financially registered members find their way on the list as this is against the constitution of the party for the primary election. Nobody could give us any reasonable explanation,” the statement held.
The group, therefore, called on the national leaders of the party to wade in by nullifying the election and organise a new primary election of which they should closely monitor.
