55-yr-old woman dies while giving testimony in Lagos church

A 55-year-old woman, simply identified as Ifeoma has died in one of the new generation churches in Iyana Ejigbo area of Lagos State, while giving testimony in the church.

The deceased woman was reportedly singing in preparation to give her testimony, when she reportedly slumped and was rushed to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead.

The image maker in charge of the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the death to the Nigerian Tribune and added that investigation had commenced into the incident.

Hundeyin said that the incident occurred at Ejigbo Zonal Ministry Church on Monday.

The police image maker said “ On 08/09/2024, at about 11:45 hours, the Zonal Accountant of Ministry Church Ejigbo, Lagos came to the station and reported that on the same day at about 08: 48 hours, during testimony hour in the church, one Ifeoma, aged 55 years  old came out singing song to give her testimony suddenly slumped.

She was quickly rushed to the hospital nearby but was referred to the General Hospital, where she was confirmed dead.”

The police image maker added that,” Based on this report, detectives and the complainant were detailed to visit the hospital.

We were told at the hospital that the husband of the deceased woman and the family had taken away the corpse to Anambra State, where the deceased woman was from.
