Conclusions of a report by the Department of Paediatrics, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State, says little Adeola has cyanotic congenital heart disease.
The report signed by Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Cardiologist, Dr John Okeniyi, said in its conclusions that she is suffering from “cyanotic congenital hearts disease: Tertiary of fallout with sub-valvar, valvar and supra-valvar stenosis.”
Okeniyi recommended “parental counselling, venous haematocrit, urgent saline partial exchange, propranolol, for intra-cardiac repair as soon as possible.”
Her referral indication from the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) by Dr Fatunla, had said “cyanosis since infancy, recurrent squatting and breathlessness.”
Her mother said she noticed abnormalities in her daughter when she was about three months and has cried out to public-spirited Nigerians for help.
