A coalition of political youth support groups in Bauchi State has reiterated its commitment to support President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC in the 2019 general elections.
In demonstration of its support, the coalition held a rally under the umbrella of Katagum Youth Organisations in Azare, Katagum Local Government area of the state with the chairman of the coalition, Comrade Suleiman Umar Chinade saying that the APC led administration has brought tremendous development to Bauchi state in particular and Nigeria in general in the last three years.
Umar Chinade, who leads the group supporting the member of House of Representatives representing Katagum federal constituency, Ibrahim Mohammed Baba said that Bauchi State has witnessed rapid development under Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar in the last three years.
According to him, their representative has brought and executed various meaningful developmental projects in Katagum emirate in line with the vision and promises of the APC led the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The coalition noted that the various social security interventions by the administration have reduced unemployment among youths and curb poverty level in women.
“The social investment program of the federal government is a testimony that the party mean well to the electorates. At this point, I wish to declare our unreserved support to President Buhari led administration for moving Nigeria forward, from despair to hope” the coalition stated.
It further stated that “In the last three years, the president has demonstrated his ability to take Nigeria to the promised land, by coming up with a number of initiatives that are appropriate to the hopes and aspirations of Nigeria. The insurgency has been defeated greatly and over 1 million internally displaced persons during the Boko Haram insurgency have returned back to their communities”.
The coalition also commended Governor Mohammed Abubakar for the achievements his APC administration has recorded in the last three years stating that, “The administration has done well in the areas of infrastructure such as construction and rehabilitation of hundreds of kilometres across the state. In the educational sector, thousands of classroom blocks have been renovated and other hundreds were constructed”.
It added that “The administration of the veteran lawyer has done well in providing access to portable water by construction and rehabilitation of hand fitted boreholes and solar-powered boreholes”.
On the projects executed by the member representing Katagum in the House of Representatives, Ibrahim Mohammed Baba, the coalition informed that he has attracted the establishment of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) College in Azare, School of Nursing and Midwifery and various ecological projects.
Meanwhile, stakeholders of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi state have hailed Jigawa State Governor, Badaru Abubakar for making efforts to retain Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, and Bauchi elders under the leadership of Wazirin Bauchi, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Kirfi in the party.
Leader of the Group, El-Faruk Gadon Bauchi stated this when he addressed reporters at the Secretariat of the Nigerian Union of Journalist in Bauchi saying that, “when Governor Badaru came to Bauchi during the just concluded Bauchi South Senatorial by-election, he made the best use of the visit to meet with the aggrieved APC stakeholders in the State especially Yakubu Dogara, Bello Kirfi and other prominent people and clearly told them that the APC at the National level and the Federal Government were seriously concerned with the differences and disagreement among the APC Stakeholders and leaders in the State and was willing to ensure justice and reconcile all of them in the best interest of the Party and the country at large”
El-Faruk who is a close associates of Alhaji Abdulmumini Shafa also said that, “Shafa represented Dogara during the discussions and all their discussions were fruitful as all of them have no problems whatsoever with President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC at National level, in fact, they support all the efforts of President Buhari in the fight against corrupt practices and his effort to bring the required development to all parts of the country”.
He further said that the stakeholders pledged to remain in the party and support whatever effort the national leadership of the Party will do to look into their grievances and treat them with just and fairness.
During the meeting, Gado said the representative of Dogara, Alhaji Shafa, commended the Federal Government for their cooperation to Speaker that enabled him to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro Federal Constituency.
El-Faruk said the beauty of Politics is dialogue and through dialogue, you will treat people of different opinions who will agree and disagree and at the end solutions will come and the duo will come out stronger.
He then commended Governor Badaru for extending an olive branch to strong APC leaders and pray to Almighty God to reward him and to guide him in his effort to see to the success of APC.
Elfaruk commended Dogara, Bauchi elders and other APC stakeholders for their cooperation and making effort to speak the truth in their quest for Justice and fairness.
