The Atiku Campaign Organization has faulted the governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano over his seeming overt support for the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, accusing him of betraying the collective and corporate interests of the Igbo people.
The Director-General of the Atiku-Peter Obi Campaign Organization (APCO) in Anambra State, Dr. Harry Oranezi in a statement issued to Tribune Online in Awka, the Anambra State Capital, shortly after an emergency meeting of the party at the party office yesterday night expressed worry with the pro-Buhari posture governor Obiano with utter disregard to his penchant to marginalise and discriminate against the people of the Southeast geopolitical zone and Anambra state in particular.

Oranezi said: “Atiku- Obi Presidential Campaign Organization, Anambra State chapter has decried the uncritical adulation of President Muhammadu Buhari by Anambra State governor, Chief Wilkie Obiano over the fangled development of Southeast geopolitical zone, which can at best be described as a subtle campaign of undeserved goodwill bearing in mind the injustice, inequities and discriminatory propensities of the Buhari court against the Southeast geopolitical zone.
” Take, for example, Buhari has continued to maintain studied silence over the massacre of innocent Southeasterners in the North, the high-handedness mistreatment of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) leaders, strategic exclusion of Southeast in rail connection, security architecture of the country and sundry appointments.
“The Igbo’s shall not be deceived by the actions and utterances of persons who want to achieve ill-conceived objectives and will certainly demonstrate their preference for good governance and strive to make Nigeria work again”, Oranezi stressed.
The DG of APCO applauded the wife of the former Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ambassador Bianca Ijukwu ” for speaking out against bad leadership and admonished lovers of Ndigbo to emulate Bianca Ojukwu and not to stop to grovelling inclination”.
