ABOUT 2,000 participants are set to attend the Africa Energy Forum in Copenhagen, Denmark between June7 and 9, 2017.
The event will bring government ministers, heads of utilities, project developers and global investors driving forward the development of Africa’s energy projects.
Also, the Secretary General, Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr Abderrahim El Hafidi, will be in attendance to discuss further on the commitment of the country to explore energy partnerships with Europe and facilitate the pace of foreign direct investment in Morocco.
A new Platinum agenda stream will bring together senior level government officials with some of the world’s biggest investors in discussions on how to accelerate projects, while specific sessions will explore the unique investment climates and priority projects for countries such as Nigeria, South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mozambique, Morocco, Ethiopia and Kenya.
Among those expected at the event include the Minister of Water, Irrigation and Electricity, Ethiopia; Dr SeleshiBekele; Minister for Development Cooperation, Government of Denmark, Ulla Tørnæs; Teresa Ribeiro, Secretary of State for Development, Government of Portugal and the Chief Executive Officer of Volta River Authority in Ghana, Emmanuel Antwi-Darkwa, among others.
The organiser of the event, EnergyNet Limited will hold a city boat cruise along the canals of Copenhagen and pre-Forum golf championship day to build additional networking opportunities into this annual business forum.
