As part of the celebration of his first 100 days in office, Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir on Tuesday paid inspection visits to the sites of some ongoing projects with the reassurance that the projects will be completed on schedule.
While inspecting the ongoing water expansion program, the Governor expressed satisfaction with the pace of work done and commended the contractor for doing a good job so far calling on him to ensure that it was done to specifications.
The Governor said that the water expansion project became necessary in order to alleviate the perennial water scarcity facing residents of the state capital considering the population increase it is experiencing on a daily basis due to influx of people.
He added that by the time the expansion was completed, more volume of water will be pumped to reach every part of the metropolis as well as other suburbs of Bauchi like Miri, Yelwa, Gombe road among others.
Bala Mohammed then appealed to the people of the state to continue to cooperate with his administration as it strives to develop the state and make it become the model in the country lamenting that the state has suffered developmental neglect by previous administrations.
