Zamfara impeachment: APC reacts, says it will not stand

The All Progressive Congress APC (APC), Zamfara State chapter has condemned the impeachment of Maradun local government Council Chairman, Ahmad Abubakar and his Vice Muhammad Faru and has described the action as null and void.

This was even as the party maintained that the impeachment will not stand as the imbroglio between the chairman and the councillors are before a competent court.

The State Chairman of the party Alh Lawal M. Liman who disclosed this in an interview on Thursday.

Liman noted that it was rather unfortunate that the state PDP government would influence the impeachment knowing fully well that the matter between the chairman and his councillors was before a competent court of law.
