Amid calls that the Federal Government should rescind its decision on the closed borders, afro pop music star, Yemi Alade, has expressed reservation on the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration on the closed borders, asking whose interest the government is protecting.
The Mama Africa as she’s fondly called said she didn’t understand the closure and asked government to explain the rationale behind it.

Some popular Nigerian entertainers have been asking the government to look at the plight of Nigerians who are directly affected by the closed borders, saying the decision should be rescinded in the interest of the masses.
Alade added her voice to the calls, asking the government to make life more meaningful for the people.
Alade, who has just released her much-talked about album entitled “Woman of Steel,” maintained that the poor are feeling the heat more.
According to her, “I don’t understand the whole border closure situation in Nigeria? Obviously it’s not in the interest of the common man.”
