“Teachers play a pivotal role in the lives of our students, molding them into responsible citizens and inspiring them to reach their full potential. We, as teachers, are not just imparting knowledge; we are nurturing the minds and hearts of the next generation.
“We want to impact the lives of our teachers because you can’t give what you do not have, they are our nation builders, they need our encouragement. We cannot underestimate their importance in the lives of our children and we need to equip them, that is what this workshop is all about, so that they can be of great benefit to our children.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers here, who work tirelessly day in day out, overcoming challenges and embracing opportunities for growth. Your dedication is the cornerstone of the progress of our society,” Tijani said.
In her remarks, one of the school owners, Dr Ibijoke Fasola, lauded the organisers of the programme for bringing both public and private teachers together to come and learn through the workshop.
“I’m very impressed with the turnout of participants and I know the beneficiaries of today’s workshop will go back and train their other colleagues,” she said.Â
Another school owner, Mrs Abimbola Aare, also commended the initiative of OMEP, saying that the workshop serves as a platform to boost the knowledge of teachers as well as students.
