BUSINESS advocacy group, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has said that its decision to refreshed unveil a refresh logo stemmed from the need to commemorate the 135th anniversary mark reached by the Chamber this year.
The Director General of the Chamber, Dr Chinyere Almona, in an exclusive chat with Brands & Marketing, described the logo refresh as part of the Chamber’s initiatives to further restate its dominance and presence, in over 13 decades of its existence in the nation’s business space.
She stated that despite the refresh, the logo still maintains the same essence of the old one.
“Our logo remains the same, the proud peacock that spreads its wings and the green colour are still very much there. When we talk about green, we mean productivity, sustenance and, fruitfulness, while the peacock represents a very royal breed. And what makes the refreshed logo different from the former one is the golden crest around the peacock.
“Of course, gold symbolises royalty, something worthy and valuable. That crest is just showing that with the Chamber having been around for 135 years, we need to create value to the business sector, and the nation’s economy,” she stated.
Almona also hinted on plans by the chamber to fully involve the nation’s youths in this year’s edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair by creating an entertainment hub where youths would be free to stage plays and concerts, as part of the trade fair.
