The Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Dr Babatunde Adeyemo, has disclosed that the firm has helped over 100 investors in the firm’s Pelican Brief Estate to secure building approvals from the Ogun State government.
He disclosed this at the weekend when a United Kingdom-based information technology specialist and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Avenue Impact (AVI), Funso Akinwunmi, took delivery of the bulk of land title documents belonging to him and his associates in the UK. The titles pertain to their investments in the Pelican Valley.
This is just as Akinwunmi expressed the readiness of the investors to commence their building projects in the estate in 2025.
Akinwunmi said he was impressed with the integrity of the firm and its CEO concerning their investments, especially with the timely delivery of the relevant documents handed over to him.
He also expressed confidence that any real estate products from Pelican Valley and Ambassador Adeyemo will attract immediate patronage because of proven integrity and diligence.
Akinwunmi said: “When he came to the UK last December, he spoke about his real estate business and people were happy and they believed. You know, that is what integrity does and these (title documents) are a proof as well.
“They have invested, they are getting their documents and they will start growing their wealth from there. We bought the property for around N4 million plus, today, it’s N7.5 million and by the end of this year, the same plot will be N10m. That is over 100 per cent return on investment within one year.
“This shows that they will immediately invest in every opportunity that comes from Pelican Valley and Dr Babatunde Adeyemo. That is what we need.”
Earlier, Adeyemo assured the investors that they would build with ease as the estate has a full government-approved layout.
This he said while assuring that getting a building approval for development is seamless in Ogun State with the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun, provided the government procedures were followed diligently.
He said, “It will be easy for them to build. This is an estate with a full government-approved layout. Getting a building approval for development in Ogun State is seamless with a government-approved estate like Pelican Estates. Within two weeks, you will get your building approval in our estates and we are going to help them and guide them to do the right thing.
“We have been able to help over 100 existing clients to secure building approvals in Pelican Brief estate, Kobape, Abeokuta, where we also have over 1,000 Nigerians in the diaspora who have keyed into the project.
“So, it is not something that is difficult to achieve if you follow the government laid down procedure. We are looking forward to seeing all of them commence building projects on their lands next year.
“I’m looking forward to doing more business with the AVI, mostly the Nigerians in the diaspora. At Pelican Valley we are changing the narrative. Gone are the days that you give money to people to buy land and they disappear with it. Sincerely, we are changing the narrative. We believe Nigerians in diaspora and Nigerians generally will be better for it.”
