THE International Entrepreneurship University, Delaware, United States has conferred professorship honour on the Registrar\CEO of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSMN),.Aliyu Muhammed
He was conferred with the Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Business Management (honorari causa) alongside some other prominent Nigerians including Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) and Dr. Kingsley Ehikioya at an award event held in Lagos recently.
At the event, President of the university, Dr. Robert Clarke, said the school found them worthy of the honour based on their individual sterling contributions to their chosen fields, national and global economy.
He commended the role being played not by the honorees but also other businessmen and entrepreneurs persons, particularly at this period of global economic downturn.
He explained that it is not only African countries that are facing economic crisis but the developed countries including the US also do.
He congratulated the IPSMN boss and other honorees, urging them not to rest on their oars.
He also advised entrepreneurs and businessmen and women not to use economic challenges as an excuse not to thrive, adding that they must be innovative and flexible enough to adapt positively to the changing world.
Speaking at the event, the honoree, Aliyu Muhammed, expressed happiness over the conferment, saying it has given additional responsibility to him to continue to impact the national and international economy to the benefit of making supply chain management, and procurement management consultancy.
