‘UNFORGIVABLE’, a new film produced and directed by Osezuah Elimihe’ Aisre Pictures, in conjunction with Megalectrics Ltd, owners of Classic FM 97.3, The Beat 99.9FM, Lagos Talks, and Naija FM) has premiered at Blue Pictures Cinema, Onikan, Lagos.
Guests were glued to their seats at the premiere on Friday, July 21, as the comedy and suspense-filled movie played. They laughed uproariously at the antics of some of the actors before pin-drop silence as the plot took an unexpected twist.
The movie, which has begun screening in cinemas, features Theo Lawson, Timini Egbuson, Nancy Isime, Jude Orhorha, Victor Eriabie, Ijeoma Richards, Mercy Isoyip, Anthonia Okojie, Emeka Okoye, Kokoette Omoinyang, and Joseph Ajah. Others are Joseph Momodu, Aaron Sunday, Moses Nwosu, Osasu Esemuede, Linda Igwe and Aloysius Onyejegbu.
‘Unforgivable’ centres on a privileged young man raised by responsible parents with issues with ladies. He is accused of rape and charged to court. He is displeased when he sees that his father hired his ex-girlfriend to defend him. The fact that the lady is a celebrated criminal defence lawyer specializing in rape and murder doesn’t move him, and he opts to represent himself despite his liberty being at stake. The twists and turns of the conflict’s resolution amused and shocked guests at the premiere.
After the premiere, producer Elimihe said he was impressed by the turnout and the impact of the movie Blue Pictures Entertainment is screening nationwide. Some cast members at the event, including Ijeoma Richard, Osasu Esemude, and Anthonia Ani, also shared their experiences on the movie set.
Richard, who played the Judge, disclosed, “It was good working with different colleagues, and everybody was happy during the project. My only challenge during the shoot was when we stayed beyond midnight. However, it was exciting.
Esemude, who played Ife, added, “The movie is about two cousins doing what they are not supposed to do, leading to an accusation of rape. My take on the movie is that do not rape and don’t accuse people falsely of rape. It is a sensitive issue worth discussing in society.”
Ani, who appreciated the producer and director for the opportunity to feature in the movie, asked Nigerians to ensure they watched the instructive film.
