Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has confirmed meeting with the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in London two days ago, even as he disclosed what he discussed with him during the encounter.
Rumours doing the round indicated that the APC leader was sick and was on admission in a hospital in London, while some other rumours said the former Lagos State governor had passed away.
However, on Tuesday pictures of Governor Sanwo-Olu in a discussion with the APC leader, Tinubu in his home in London, surfaced on social media, putting to rest rumours of his death.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, while addressing newsmen at the State House, Ikeja, on Wednesday, affirmed that the APC national leader is hale and hearty, saying both discussed issues surrounding rumours about his health, the party and the country as a whole.
The governor maintained that Tinubu was healthy as there was nothing to worry about “because pictures don’t lie.”
“You saw the pictures. He is our leader. I went to see him in London. Our discussion is just around rumours about his health. He is healthy. We conversed and we talked about what is happening in our party and the nation. There is nothing to worry about because pictures don’t lie,” he said.
