The plight of workers

The fact that most Nigerian workers were not paid their salaries before the Christmas and New Year celebrations is most saddening.

Many families could not even celebrate Christmas. It is doubtful that workers are smiling even now.

This year, government should do all it can to ensure that workers receive their wages at the appropriate time. Workers should not have to suffer.
