Budding Nigerian singer-songwriter Oladimeji Oyekanmi, popularly known as Sugar, has unveiled his latest track, ‘Daily Bread.’
With a distinct sound characterized by captivating melodies, Sugar says he wants to keep making waves in the music scene. The Saucekeyz-produced beat showcases his unique style, adding to his growing body of work.
Speaking about his career and inspiration, Sugar noted that he draws inspiration from iconic artists like Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Majek Fashek, and contemporary Nigerian stars such as Olamide and Davido.
A graduate of Getaway Polytechnic in Computer Engineering, Sugar maintained that he aimed to carve a niche for himself in the Afrobeat genre with his compelling lyrics and infectious rhythms.
Looking ahead, Sugar is determined to gain recognition for his exceptional talent and plans to release more songs throughout the year.
Currently, his singles ‘Daily Bread’ and ‘Middle Man,’ released in December 2023, are gaining traction under the promotion of Sniper Entertainment.
Speaking on his next plans for the year, Sugar said he is set to unveil a viral video directed by Sam’s Visuals, which will soon be available on various streaming platforms and his social media channels.
