Buzzing Rap artist and CEO of 16 Mountains Record, Babalola Oriyomi, popularly known as ConA’Stone, is extending his entrepreneurial prowess beyond the music industry with the unveiling of what he called Igbetifarm platform.
Speaking about his new interest, he noted that the groundbreaking e-commerce platform is poised to redefine the agricultural landscape by facilitating seamless transactions between farmers and consumers.
He said the platform serves as a digital marketplace for the virtual handshake of farm stakeholders and end consumers alike.
“The central purpose is to bring farming and all that enables it and emanates from it to the doorsteps of the buyer and final consumers, whereby they can interact with the best Agro goods online, communicating and negotiating with the seller/posters, without leaving their comfort zone.”
The rapper who said his new investment in farming will not affect his music career pointed out that he has always wanted to diversify into other areas of endeavour that would sustain his brand and keep him afloat even while music is paying.
“Our central purpose is to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers,” says Babalola Oriyomi. “We provide a platform where buyers can easily browse through a diverse selection of farm-fresh products and connect directly with sellers without leaving their comfort zone.”
Igbeti Farm offers a free advertisement service to sellers, enabling them to showcase their products to a larger audience. When a buyer shows interest in a specific item, they can directly communicate and negotiate with the seller through the platform, making the transaction process smooth and hassle-free.
“Our unique selling point is our ability to seamlessly connect buyers and sellers,” explains ConA’Stone. “By eliminating intermediaries, we ensure transparency and fairness in every transaction, benefiting both parties involved.”
“In today’s digital age, it is crucial for all industries, including agriculture, to adopt e-commerce,” explains Babalola Oriyomi. “By digitizing the agricultural sector, we can not only make the buying and selling process more convenient but also contribute to the country’s overall economic growth.”
