Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a new warning to Iran, vowing more intense military action in the days ahead.
He claimed that Israel’s recent strikes have significantly damaged Iran’s nuclear capabilities and hinted that further, heavier attacks are imminent.
“We will hit every site and every target of the Ayatollahs’ regime and what they have felt so far is nothing compared with what they will be handed in the coming days,” Netanyahu said in a video message.
He added that the Israeli military is now targeting and dismantling Iran’s capacity to produce ballistic missiles.
The conflict between the two countries has entered a dangerous phase, with both sides actively exchanging strikes.
Explosions have been reported in more than 10 Iranian cities. While some of the blasts appear to be direct hits on specific targets, others are believed to be from Iran’s air defence systems being activated.
Iranian officials have vowed to continue their retaliation against Israel. In recent hours, Iran has launched ballistic missiles and drones targeting various Israeli sites.
Inside Iran, public sentiment is divided. Some residents are furious, especially as not all the targets hit in Iran appear to be military or nuclear in nature.
“Some of the targets hit in Iran are not necessarily military or nuclear – they are rather residential buildings,” said one local observer.
Alongside the anger, there is growing fear and uncertainty. Just weeks ago, there had been a sense of hope as Iran appeared to be entering into constructive talks with the United States—talks that many believed could lead to de-escalation.
“Now, with the new developments, everybody has doubts,” said a resident in Tehran.
