We must not be part of the company of people who throw their hands down in despair but we must brace up and face the challenges of the times.
The times we are in now will demand we must be very strategic in whatever we do. We need to revisit our dreams, plans and aspirations and overhaul our strategy to suit and overcome the adversity of the times. The days of doing business as usual is over. Those who do business as usual are realizing that life no longer works on that principle.
This season demands discipline in every department of our lives. The days of careless purposeless living should be over. These are not the days for the weak. For our lives to count we must be strong and focused.
In these hard times one crucial key to success is to always keep the big picture in view. We must always remember that our focus determines our feelings. If we focus unduly on the adversity and uncertainties of the times we are bound to be discouraged. If we have “an-end-result-focus” we will be motivated to look beyond “the now” to see our dreams come to pass. Focusing on the big picture will motivate us in these hard times to persevere and to be tenacious. We must become unstoppable and be resolute that ours is a-mission-possible. We will not be deterred, discouraged or be divested of our dreams.
When our focus is right we become strong and these are the days to be strong – only the strong will survive and thrive in this adverse environment that we have all found ourselves.
We must be strong emotionally because we are hearing and we will keep hearing and seeing things that will shake us to the bones. The spate of calamities and bad news that abound must not be allowed to throw us off balance. When we allow what we see or hear to get into us we are bound to be discouraged, which is a luxury we cannot afford.
We must sacrifice today so we can be satisfied tomorrow. Only the strong can give things up today for the sake of a better tomorrow. We must practice the art of delayed gratification. We must not live our tomorrow today.
We must surround ourselves with people of like mind- people who see light at the end of the tunnel, people who believe and walk in possibilities and are not swallowed up by the negativity of the times.
Life is not gloom and doom but a mixed grill of all sorts but the strength of character and our approach will determine how we will turn out.
“We all go through hard times in life. It’s a part of being alive and it’s the reality we all have to deal with. There are times we forget our value as a person because we are so blinded with these thoughts of loneliness, emptiness and ego. Somewhere along the road we become numbed with all the frustrations and dissatisfaction.
