The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dansavist Multi Concept and Campaigner of “Sanity Must Be It” (SMBI), Prince Dan Olaitan Dada, has called on all leaders of the Harmonized Practitioners of Mobile Advertising and other related associations in Nigeria to expedite actions toward sanitizing the collection of illegal revenue on Nigerian roads.
He also challenged all Presidents of the Harmonized Mobile Advertising groups and other related associations under the leadership of Otunba Mike Osimen Eboziegbe, as well as the Harmonized Group Committee Chairman, Comrade Andrew Oare, to put more effort into sanitizing the mobile advertising system and other related collections.
In a statement issued on Wednesday and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, he stated that despite the ongoing work of the Harmonized Practitioners Taskforce under the leadership of Comrade Austin Michael, and the newly established policing efforts by the Harmonized CSO team, under the leadership of Chief Martins Njoku, there has been no visible progress in the Nigerian states where the Harmonized body is working to resolve the issue of sanity on the roads.
The statement read as follows:
“The leadership of the Harmonized group needs to understand that aligning their statements (such as ‘Ensure Sanity’) with their actions is essential to being seen as both responsive and responsible. Does this imply that the leadership is waiting for another unfortunate threat to our mandate, like what happened during the JTB SIRTS/SHF, before taking appropriate measures?”
Prince Dan emphasized the urgent need for sanity: “Development does not occur by chance or happenstance; it happens through the deliberate, intentional, and coordinated actions of visionary leaders. I hereby call on all leaders of the Harmonized Practitioners of Mobile Advertising and related collections in Nigeria, including myself, to expedite actions toward sanitizing our collective mandate. All violations of revenue laws in Nigeria need to be addressed, and illegal operators must be arrested and prosecuted, regardless of their affiliations.”
“Most importantly, we need to sanitize in collaboration with the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) and the Joint Tax Board (JTB), using their constitutional powers for the harmonization and regularization of taxes. Additionally, security agencies must be involved for the serious arrest of illegal activities in Nigeria.”
