UK-based Nigerian Afrocentric Soulful Jazz Queen, Folashade Aboderin, popularly known as Shady Blue, has continued to foster the genre with her vibes.
She is back with a new single entitled: Better Without You from her yet to be released album tagged: My Way.
She flaunts and expresses her versatility towards the successful production of the lyrics and sound of the new work, which she describes as Afrocentric Soulful Reggae.
“This sound is reminiscent of the rendition paralleling the likes of Sade Adu, Jill Scot, Chaka Khan and Erykah Badu. It depicts my versatility to sing any style of music,” she added.
The single produced by TeeBeeO, will be released on April 4 on social media music platforms, including, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Google Play, Spotify, Napster, 7digital, Emusic, and MediaNet.
Shady Blue, who is a daughter of a renowned Jazz musician/producer in Nigeria, told R that plans have been concluded to tour Africa with her band anytime soon, just as she appreciated the support of her fans over the years, as well as assured that they would have more of her apart from the new album in 2019.
