Shady Blue expands frontiers

UK-based jazz singer, Folashade Aboderin, popularly known as Shady Blue, appears to be capitalising on the social restrictions induced by the COVID-19 pandemic to expand her fashion frontiers digitally.

While many have lamented the impact of the pandemic onslaught on their businesses, Shady Blue, on the other hand, is preparing for expansion as the current situation appears to be a blessing in disguise for the jazz musician.

When her music business was halted with the lack of shows and paucity of endorsements, the mother of two decided to venture into beauty business. She launched SB Hair & Beauty Lounge which provides an array of hair and beauty services in Kent, England.

According to her, the lounge thrives on the high standard of its services to customers, especially Europeans, Afro Caribbeans and other ethnic heritages, including oriental customers.

“It is a welcome development to expand my frontiers, which affords me the opportunity to also be an entrepreneur. COVID-19 exposed people to greater opportunities around them and this is what brought about berth of SB Hairs and Beauty Lounge,” the singer added.
