The House of Representatives on Thursday passed through second reading a bill which seeks to approve the sum of N10.509,654,033,053 for the year 2020 as against the initial appropriation of N10.594,362,364,830 passed by both chambers and signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari.
After robust debate on the bill during which some lawmakers called for upward review of the $25 per barrel oil benchmark proposed in the revised Appropriation bill to $28 per barrel, the bill passed through second reading and referred to the Joint Committees on Appropriation; Finance, Aids, Loans and Debt Management for further legislative action.
