Omooba Dotun Babayemi, a former governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called on Muslim brothers and sisters across the country to use the month-long Ramadan period to pray for the country.
Babayemi, who made the call in a release issued by his media office and made available to newsmen, also urged Nigerians to maintain a positive attitude about the country.

“It’s our collective responsibility to see that Nigeria succeeds. This we can achieve by being relentless in our tangible efforts and through constant supplications to God, especially as offered by the opportunities inherent in the fasting period,” noted Babayemi.
Babayemi bemoaned that, although Nigeria and its people were going through tough times, he pointed out that the situation could be redeemed through service to God and humanity.
While congratulating Muslims across the globe for witnessing another Ramadan, he prayed that their commitment to God’s work during and after the fasting period would not be in vain.
