At the end of the 2 days retreat held at the 500 seaters multipurpose lecture theater, top government functionaries made up of public servants and political appointees in the service of Bauchi State have resolved to adopt and support the comprehensive blueprint unveiled by the Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.
The resolution was part of the communique issued at the end of the 2 day retreat organized for members of the State Executive Council, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, Local Governments Caretaker Chairmen, Heads of Extra Ministerial Departments and other Political Appointees held at Bauchi State University, Gadau.
The communique was read by the Deputy, Governor, Sen Baba Tela who disclosed that all the participants have agreed to support the Governor to enable him actualise his blueprint which encompasses a paradigm shift in the conduct of public service.

According to the communique, the participants welcomed the innovative reforms enunciated by Governor Bala Mohammed particularly the introduction of Key Performance Indicators as a means of benchmarking stewardship of Chief Executives and other major stakeholders in the public service.
Senator Baba Tela further readout that the participants also resolved to pursue the diversification of the economy in Non-Oil sectors of Agriculture and Solid Mineral Development in addition to intensifying effort at reinvigorating the Internally Generated Revenue machinery.
While reading the communique further, the Deputy Governor disclosed that the participants expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for the foresight to direct the conduct of the retreat as well as his active participation.
While declaring the retreat closed on Thursday, State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed said that with technocrats as members of his cabinet, the administration will before end of its tenure, record remarkable achievements in service delivery to the people of Bauchi State irrespective of their political and ethnoreligious affiliation.
