The gospel artiste, Akinyemi Oluwasesan Samuel, popularly known as Psalm Ebube, has received an international award, World Civility Song Award, following his contribution to the growth of humanity and impacting lives and society positively through his talent.
Psalm Ebube was honoured along with others by the Organisation for Poverty Alleviation & Development (OPAD) with the prestigious ‘World Civility Song of the Year 2020’ award category, at the Oasis Hotel in Lagos, last Sunday, a recognition which has also made the artiste an Ambassador of Civility.
Speaking at the event, spokesperson of the organisation, Dr Clyde Rivers, stated that the artiste’s song entitled ‘One Love One World’ released in 2017 earned him the award, adding that, “We at ‘I Change Nations’ are so proud of the work Ambassador Psalm Ebube has done to bring the message of Civility to the World through Music.”

Rivers, who is also the acting Representative to the United Nation for the Interfaith Peace-Building said, “that song is one of the greatest civility songs in the world. His music moves the heart of humanity. Across Africa, Psalm Ebube is raising his voice to help foster global consciousness about fragility, civility and to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in West Africa.”
‘One Love One World’ by Psalm Ebube which was produced by Mikkyme Joses has drawn the attention of the world to the importance of peace, keeping the world free of war and attrition and also protecting our planet.
Psalm Ebube is one of the most celebrated singers, an empowering voice for orphans and widow’s rights whose wealth of experience in the gospel terrain has continued to prove to be a blessing. He is well known for his evergreen praise songs such as Kabio’osi, somebody worship somebody praise, which is one of the most appreciated Nigerian Gospel Songs in recent times. The singer, who released a song on his birthday day, February 16 entitled ‘Life is Beautiful’, is presently working on a new project ‘Suicide Awareness Stay Alive’ to celebrate World Suicide Prevention Day.
