Police storm NHIS office over Executive Secretary

Policemen have been drafted to the office of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in Abuja following workers’ protest over the reinstatement of the Executive Secretary, Prof Usman Yusuf.

Yusuf was reinstated by the Federal Government on Tuesday, February 6.

Yusuf was suspended in June 2017 by the Minister of Health, Prof Issac Adewole, following allegations of gross misconduct.
