The Anambra State police command on Friday said it has arrested one suspected members of a cult group during their nocturnal meeting on how to launch an attack on their perceived rivals in the state.
The cultists were holding their planned attacks meeting, when the men of the command, acting on a tip-off swooped on them.
The command PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed who disclosed this in a press statement, said dangerous weapons were recovered from the suspects.

He said; On the 30/5/2019 at about 12:30 pm, there was a credible intelligence report that Secret cult members gathered at Obinagu Villa, Abagana in Njikoka LGA for a nocturnal meeting and perfecting plans to launch an attack on their perceived rivals in the state.
Following the information, the Police detectives attached to Abagana Division responded swiftly and arrested one Chimelue Muokwe ‘m’ aged 36 years while other Suspects escaped from the scene.
Exhibits recovered at the scene include Three (3) double barrel locally made guns, Two ( 2) short axes, One (1) spear, Four (4) machetes, A native juju pot, mirror, and some quantities of weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa.
He said case under investigation and effort is ongoing to apprehend other fleeing suspects in order to bring them to Justice.
