The Police on Monday arraigned Senator Elisha Abbo before a Zuba Magistrates’ Court, Abuja, on one count of assault.
Tribune Online learnt that Police detectives had established a prima facie case against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

Recall that Senator Abbo appeared in a viral video where he repeatedly slapped his victim for intervening in an argument between him and the owner of the sex toy shop.
Tribune Online also recalls that the senator also apologised in a press statement he issued last week.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command also interrogated the lawmaker last Thursday and subsequently detained him for 24 hours.
