The Ayedero of Yorubaland, Honourable Shina Peller, has extended his heartfelt congratulatory message to the President of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Alumni Association, Engineer Olalekan Badmus, on his appointment as the Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
Peller’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement shared on his social media platforms and with journalists on Saturday, where he expressed confidence in the ability of Badmus to turn things around positively in his new role at NPA.
It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu had named Badmus alongside others as the new Executive Directors in two agencies under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, namely the Nigerian Port Authority and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
The former federal lawmaker commended President Tinubu‘s decision, describing it as a well-informed one while expressing confidence that Badmus will make significant contributions to the growth of Nigeria’s Marine and Blue Economy ministries and the Nigerian economy at large.
The statement read in full: “I congratulate my dear brother, Engineer Olalekan Badmus, who is the President of our prestigious LAUTECH Alumni Association, on his appointment as the Executive Director, Marine & Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
“Right from our days at LAUTECH till date, you have always exhibited impressive leadership traits and the ability to turn things around positively at any slight opportunity.
“Indeed, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made a well-informed decision in appointing you as the NPA Executive Director, and I am very confident that you will make significant contributions to the growth of the nation’s marine and blue economy sectors and the Nigerian economy at large.
“As the global president of our prestigious LAUTECH alumni association, we are very proud and delighted to associate with you, and we pray that God bestows on you the strength, wisdom, and understanding to deliver excellently in your new role. Amen.”
