Panic as bandits notify four Sokoto communities of attacks

Panic and anxiety have gripped residents of Shuni a community in Dange/Shuni local government area of Sokoto state following the discovery of a letter allegedly written by suspected members of the marauding bandits threatening to attack four villages in the local government.

The letter which was written in Hausa language was found under a tree in one of the communities in which the discovery make residents of the communities now living in fear.

The letter, which is currently in circulation on social media in the state revealed that four communities of Shuni, Kwanar Kimba, Rikina, and Dange, all in Dange/Shuni local government area of Sokoto state are listed as targets of the attack.

The bandits also boasted that no force can stop them from carrying out their threat.

The bandits allegedly added that a million army personnel will not stop them from carrying out their planned attack which they said may be carried out at any moment from now.

Efforts to get the reaction of Nigeria Police, Sokoto State Command, was not successful as the phone number of the PRO of the command was not reachable.
