The First Fakhar Soliheen of Oyo State, Dr Adewale Kareem has launched a hub for youth empowerment and community development.
The multi-million naira building complex, named the Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) house is also meant to give other support to people including, skills acquisition, business and education support.
In an interview with journalists, the founder of the initiative, Fakhar Soliheen of Oyo state, Kareem stated that the complex is meant to focus on the alleviation of poverty among the people.
He added that the newly-launched building is aimed to assist job seekers.
Kareem who is also a philanthropist said, “the newly commissioned hub comprise of Library and ICT Centre which will Offer access to educational resources and digital skills training to beneficiaries.
“While we also made provision for the aged, people with special needs and vulnerable ones to foster a sense of belonging among them.
In the same vein, Kareem, who is also the Chief Imam of Wabillahi Taofeeq Islamic Mission Worldwide, earlier launched a non-interest cooperative, Wabillahi Taofeeq Islamic Mission Worldwide cooperative society in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
According to him, the initiative is aimed at giving economic support to the people.
He said “The non-interest cooperative is strategically designed to address local economic challenges and aims to create a sustainable model for community development. It is expected to offer a variety of services, including financial assistance, business development resources, and educational programs.”
