The Osun State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, has strongly criticized Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over his claim that NNPP is dead in Nigeria and that Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the National Leader of NNPP, would soon join APC.
Odeyemi, in a statement on Wednesday, described Ganduje’s comments as “hallucinating” and stated that NNPP is actually growing stronger every day.
He warned Ganduje that 2027 would teach him a lesson his generation wouldn’t forget.
Odeyemi questioned how Ganduje could boast about attracting right-thinking individuals when hundreds of citizens are being maimed and kidnapped daily under the APC administration.
The NNPP chairman also reminded Ganduje that Kwankwaso had previously supported him, making him his deputy and helping him become Governor of Kano.
He criticized the APC, saying the party has disappointed Nigerians and isn’t working effectively.
Odeyemi expressed surprise that Ganduje would forget his benefactor and questioned the APC’s claims of attracting new members amid the party’s failures.
“How can a chairman of a ruling party under which hundreds of citizens are being maimed and kidnapped every day be proud of his party to the extent of boasting of attracting right-thinking individuals?
“APC as a party has disappointed Nigerians. Nothing is working under this party and one Ganduje was telling his members that a visionary leader like Kwankwaso would join them.
“Ganduje’s feelers in Kano are probably deceiving him to grease their own pulse because they know APC is not coming back to rule that state again.
‘Ganduje should stop hallucinating, Kwankwaso is more knowledgeable than associating with the caliber of people presently in APC.
“I wonder how people forget their benefactor so soon. Has Ganduje forgot that Kwankwaso made him? He made him his Deputy amidst so many political interests and eventually helped him climbed the ladder as governor of Kano state. So, who owns the political structure of Kano state?”
