Ogun State College of Health Technology Ilese-Ijebu, has matriculated a new set of students into the institution for the 2020/2021 academic session, warning them to steer clear of indiscipline, indecent dressing, unruly behaviour and all acts of immorality.
Speaking during the matriculation ceremony, the provost of the institution, Dr Abiodun Oladunjoye, described the institution as the foremost health institution in the promotion of holistic health in the country.
The provost also admonished the new students not to misuse their newfound freedom as this might jeopardise their academic sojourn.
He said: ”As students, you are duty-bound to abide by all rules and regulations of the college as we have zero tolerance for indiscipline, indecent dressing, unruly behaviour and all acts of immorality.”
He reiterated his administration’s continued support towards the welfare of the students by announcing two scholarships scheme for first-class and indigent students.
Dr Oladunjoye also announced the approval of a two-step upgrade on the salary scale for four academic staff that bagged their Ph.D degrees recently.
The lecturers are Dr Soyingbe Azeez, Dr Kehinde Kazeem Adesanya, Dr Caleb Adegoke and Dr Quadri Jeleel Korede.
He noted that the approval was given in a bid to motivate and encourage academic excellence among the members of staff and most especially the beneficiaries.
