Governor Ortom stated this during the inauguration of N500million shopping mall executed by Benue Investment and Property Company, BIPC in Karu local government area of Nasarawa State.
Ortom said that his administration believes that private sector drives economy and promised to provide enabling environment for all indigenes of the state who pick interest in business.
He also hinted of the windows of opportunities available at financial institutions in the country for interested private businessmen.
While commending BIPC for completing the project, the governor called on the host community in the area to assist in protecting the gigantic project against vandals.
Speaking earlier, the Managing Director, BIPC, Mr Jacob Mulya said that the large expanse of the land was acquired in 1995 by the defunct Lobi Bank, adding that the project which he said gulped N500million began in 2015.
Mulya further explained that the mall has 93 shops with two banking halls, transformer and two functional boreholes, adding that the company had commenced process of developing the other part of the land with mini estate.
