The Obafemi Awolowo University has appointed a seasoned hospitality and business administrator, Mr Lawrence Omidiora as the General Manager, Obafemi Awolowo University Investments Company Limited.
Mr Omidiora ,a product of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife where he obtained his Bachelor Degree in Education and Masters in International Relations is a thorough bred , first class business manager who has honed and gathered experience in both private and public sectors also holds a Master degree in Business Administration , Ladoke Akintola University of Technology , Ogbomosho .
Omidiora has distinguished himself as an accomplished marketer with commendable testimonies from managements of CSS Bookshop, Book craft and Spectrum publishing houses.
The new General Manager is a multi – tasking mind who has served as Personal Assistant to Chief Executives of doyen companies where he gained immeasurable insight into the management of personnel , administration and board room organisation .
He was Controller, Human Resources, Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, a position that kept him to manage the affairs of over 500 staff of the company while he moved to Ikeja Golf Club as General Manager and Chief operating Officer.
Omidiora is not only well connected, but has an awesome network of high net worth individuals and corporations of commercial and business interest.
He is an Ambassador for Peace by International Peace Federation, Nigeria Chapter, Honorary Member, Ikeja Club, and Obafemi Awolowo way, Ikeja, Lagos and Distinguished Associate, Rotary Club of Akute, Ogun State.
