As a result of the directive, all business premises owned by Christians within the state capital were closed while there are prayer sessions at different designated centres across the state.
Tribune Online findings revealed that the Igbo community in the state also gave a similar directive to all Igbo on the Plateau to stay indoor both on Saturday and Sunday October Ist to avoid any unpleasant situation.
It would be recalled that there was a commotion in Jos, Plateau State recently when some miscreants trooped to the streets in the guise of avenging the alleged killing of their tribe in the South Eastern part of Nigeria.
According to a statement signed by the Plateau State Chairman, CAN, Rev Soja Bewarang, and made available to Tribune Online in Jos,
CAN request all traders in the state to close their Shops on Saturday, September 30th 2017, and focus on prayer.
The statement depicted that the State Governor, Simon Lalong will visit Igbo Communities on the last day of the fast to reassure them of their safety, adding that peace and justice will prevail in the State.
Meanwhile, there is a massive deployment of security men to all strategic and flashpoints across the state, especially in Jos the state capital.
