GOVERNOR Badaru who was represented by the state head of civil service Alhaji Inuwa Tahir made the disclosure yesterday shortly after the swearing-in ceremony of the 1, 873 corps member deployed to Jigawa state for 2018 batch B stream 1, held at Yakubu Gawon NYSC Orientation Camp Fanisau.
He explained that the contribution of the NYSC scheme contributed immensely, particularly, in the areas of education, health, bye and general election and other infrastructural development in the country.
The governor also urged corps members to remain law-abiding citizens for peace, unity and better development of the nation.
While making his remarks, the state coordinator NYSC Jigawa state Alhaji Ibrahim Abdul Muhammad congratulated the corps participants for the successful completion of their courses at their various institutions.
He said, out of the total 1, 873 corps members deployed to Jigawa are made up of 515 females and 1,358 males are successfully sworn-in as bonafide members of the corps in accordance with the enabling law.
The Coordinator added that, for the purpose of this orientation course, some prospective corps members about 307 from Kaduna state have been dislodged to Jigawa state.
He then wishes the corps members to actively participate in all programme earmarked during this orientation course and be law-abiding one year service to their motherland.
