The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Y D Ahmed, has urged corps members to be vigilant regarding their safety.
Speaking to the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Yikpata, Kwara State on Sunday night, the Director-General mentioned that the scheme has implemented measures to ensure the safety of the corps members.

He, however, encouraged them to actively take steps to ensure the security of their lives and property. The NYSC head cautioned against nighttime travel and advised them to avoid activities that could expose them to danger.
Meanwhile, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa, the State Coordinator of NYSC Kwara State, expressed gratitude in his welcome address, appreciating the Director-General for selecting the camp as the starting point for his tour. He noted that the visit has boosted the morale of the corps members and all camp participants.
Accompanying the Director-General were Mr. Eddy Megwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations Units, and Mrs. Bona Fasakin, the Director of Special Duty.
