With a career spanning over a decade, Mr. Olushola Olufemi Odeyemi has established himself as a leader and innovator in the industry, earning recognition and accolades for his exceptional contributions and achievements.
Currently serving as the Engineering Manager, LFS North America for Schlumberger OneSubsea since January 2024, Olushola Odeyemi is at the helm of significant advancements in subsea technology. His role involves overseeing engineering operations and driving innovation in subsea systems, which are crucial for efficient and safe offshore exploration and production.
Before joining Schlumberger OneSubsea, Odeyemi demonstrated remarkable leadership and expertise in various roles at Aker Solutions USA. From February 2023 to December 2023, he excelled as the Engineering Manager, SLS North America. His tenure at Aker Solutions began with his appointment as Engineering Supervisor, SLS North America in December 2022, followed by a role as Senior Mechanical Engineer SLS North America from June 2022 to December 2022.
In each of these positions, Odeyemi was instrumental in enhancing engineering processes and managing complex projects that contributed significantly to the company’s success in the North American market.
Odeyemi’s influence in the industry extends back to his time with Airswift BHP Billiton, where he served as the Subsea Engineering Supervisor from December 2019 to June 2022. His tenure at Airswift was marked by his strategic oversight and technical acumen, which played a crucial role in advancing subsea technologies and operational efficiency.
His early career included a notable period at Erin Energy in Nigeria, where he held the positions of Head of Subsea System and Subsea Surveillance from February 2014 to August 2018. During his time at Erin Energy, Odeyemi was recognized with an Excellence Award, an honour that placed him among the top 4% of all Nigerian executives in the oil and gas sector. This accolade is a testament to his outstanding performance and leadership in Subsea Engineering.
With his first degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria, Odeyemi’s career began in February 2007, and his journey through various professional leadership capacities has been characterized by a relentless pursuit of excellence. His extensive experience and expertise have been critical in shaping the strategies and solutions that address the challenges faced by the subsea engineering sector.
He would later obtain a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Oklahoma in the United States, in December 2024.
