The Chief Executive Officer of Red for Africa Group, Ayodeji Rasaq, has advised Nigerian youths to focus on developing and growing business ideas.
Rasaq, who made the call at the just concluded Stability and Sustenance Business Summit in Abuja with over 500 participants, reiterated the importance of youth nurturing business mindsets, particularly in this era where employment opportunities are scarce.
According to the Red for Africa Group CEO, it is important for Nigerian youths to understand the process and practical journeys of business ideation, business establishment, business growth, and eventual expansion.
“I once began business with a friend’s idle car on a ride-hailing platform, and in less than six months, I had about seven vehicles that I was managing on the platform, creating passive income and employing other people to be part of the business as a result of eventual expansion,” Ayodeji explained.
He continued that “the secret most times is not having enough money to start a business, but the ability to manage available money at the particular time.
As an entrepreneur, you have to be exceptionally prudent with your expenses, ploughing back profits and excesses into the business rather than spending on a frivolous lifestyle.”
In the same vein, Deraspeaks, a spoken-word minister, motivated youths at the event to never give up on their dreams while performing a captivating number on stage at the Abuja International Conference Centre, the venue of the summit.
Entrepreneur-missionary and founder of the Stability and Sustenance Business Summit, Melody Fidel, stated that the overall project, which currently involves mentoring over 10,000 start-ups and disbursing grants to more than 100, will continue to support Nigerian youths with relevant skills and knowledge of business entrepreneurship, growth, and expansion.
