The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has constituted a board of Inquiry to unravel the immediate cause of the crash of the Nigerian Air Force FT-7NI trainer aircraft during a routine training exercise in Makurdi, Benue State.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by Air Force’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet.
Air Commodore Gabkwet said that the two pilots on board survived the crash after successfully ejecting from the aircraft.
He added that there was no damage to property around the area of impact.
The surviving pilots are currently under observation at the NAF Base Hospital, Makurdi.
