A cleric of the Holy Promise Church of God, Bishop Ayo Ayodeji, who called for the prayer during his ordination as the bishop of the church, said: “we must pray seriously to God to avert impending calamity.”

He spoke on the need to “pray for the mercy of God for the country and for good leaders to move the nation to the Promised Land.”
He urged the youth to see themselves as role models, just as he stressed the need for them to build their spiritual lives.
