Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has approved the appointment of Mohammed Madami Etsu as the new Chairman, of the State Board of Internal Revenue.
A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, on Friday in Minna stated that the appointment of Mohammed Etsu to the position was based on merit, proven credentials, personal integrity, and outstanding records of experience.
The Governor, according to the SSG, reminded the new Chairman of the policy direction of the present administration, to improve the quality of lives of the citizens of the state and urged him to pursue the reinvigoration of the board within the context of the state government’s drive towards enhanced internally generated revenue.
The statement added that the chairman was also expected to bring his knowledge, skills, and wealth of experience to bear in the performance of his new assignment by working assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The Governor thereby congratulated Mohammed Etsu on the appointment and wished him success and God’s guidance in the discharge of the arduous duties of his office.
It would be recalled that Governor Abubakar Sani Bello recently appointed a former Acting Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Garba Gunna as the 2nd Emir of Kagara after the demise of late Alhaji Salihu Tanko, the immediate past Emir of Kagara.
