The (Nigerian Society of Engineers) NSE Oluyole branch has commended the staff of Oyo State Fire Service operation units for the recent feat as regards Ayede Transmission Station fire outbreak containment.
This is as it gave special recognition to some of the staff with uncommon zeal to work without adequate PPE, most importantly the female.
Led by the branch chairman, Engineer Abdulrasaq Jimoh, the NSE paid a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Fire Service on Tuesday, February 11.
Responding, the Deputy Director, Oyo State Fire Service, Mr O. Adewuyi, thanked the NSE Oluyole branch for the august visit.
He said the agency was abandoned by previous administrations in the state.

He, however, stated that the Oyo State government has secured five more fire-fighting trucks that are yet to be branded, noting that those were the ones used to combat the recent fire outbreak at Ayede Transmission Station.
He added that the procurement process of 10 modern vehicles is on top gear.
He enjoined the engineers and the entire public to intensify efforts in advocacy against fire disasters.
On the NSE entourage were Engineer Wale Ojoawo, (Vice-Chairman), Engineer Tobi Busari, MNSE (General Secretary), Engineer Samson Ganiyu Okunlola, (ex-officio 1) and a host of others.
